Suicide Prevention Lessons
Each Fall and Spring semesters; the Student Services Department meets with the 9th Graders Health/PE class to deliver Hazelden Lifelines Prevention: Building Knowledge and Skills to Prevent Suicide Program.
The goal of the program is to teach students the warning signs of self-harm/suicide through real-world scenarios, what to do if a friend is contemplating suicide, and whom to contact if you are at risk.
Part of the program involves the students taking a "Pre-Test" to gauge their knowledge beforehand and a "Post-Test" after the program to use data to determine if the students learned what they needed to learn through the program.
These surveys and information will be posted below. Please feel free to reach out to Student Services at 336-257-2920 with any questions or concerns.
