Dr. Amanda Whatley

I am happy to be a part of the Central Davidson team!  This is my 18th year in education, and I've done a little bit of everything.  Most of my career has been in the classroom as a high school English teacher (15 years) and a fifth grade ELA teacher (2 years).  I am a fifth generation North Carolina native, and I love this state and its people!  

 

I earned my bachelors in English from UNCG, my masters in Reading Education from NC A & T, and my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb.  I spent most of my undergrad years at ASU, and the mountains of NC will always have my heart.  

 

I believe in this work we do for our students, and I am honored to be a partner in learning here at CDHS.
