Tonia Maxcy, Assistant Principal
Greetings! I am the proud Assistant Principal of the Central Davidson High School Spartans!! I am a Davidson County girl, and am honored to serve you in this capacity!
My family and I live in Wallburg, and are all graduates of Ledford High School. I earned my undergrad degree at UNCG [ Spartans :-) ], and am currently working to earn my Masters from AppState in Educational Leadership.
I have had 28 years of teaching experience before deciding to make the jump into administration. Although late in my career, the timing was perfect for me, as both of my children were highly invested in their own school experiences...I wouldn't have missed a thing!
I have worked in grades 4-12 teaching ELA and history. I have been very fortunate to have had experiences in Guilford County Schools and Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools, all of which were rewarding, but most importantly, brought me home to Davidson County to finish my career.
I live a grateful life, and make the most of every situation. In this way, I am a lifelong learner and encourage my students to be the same!
Being in administration is the best-it's like having 900 kids that you can guide, and help them to see the value in themselves! It is my pleasure to serve you and your family!
