Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 6 will be a workday for teachers. Therefore, students do not have school tomorrow.
When students return on Wednesday, they will report to homeroom in between 1st and 2nd period in order to get their report card. If your child has an FF on their report card, it means they have missed more than 4 days in a class. We do this as a warning so that they are careful to not go over the 8 absences for the semester. All FFs will be removed within a week or so so that you can login to Parent Portal and see their actual grades.
Students with less than a 50 average in a class will be given a grade contract in order to pull their grade up to a 50. Please have your child take this contract seriously as it will keep them eligible for passing the class this semester.
Next Monday, November 12 is a school holiday. The school will be closed on Monday for both students and staff.
On Tuesday, November 13, all tenth graders will take a Pre-ACT. This Pre-ACT will give them valuable information on their preparedness for college. Please have them take this test seriously so that you know what areas they need to improve in.
As well, all juniors and seniors will participate on a ACT Writing Prompt during first period next Tuesday. Again, we are trying to help all students be prepared for whatever path they choose after high school. By participating we can receive important information about how we can improve as a school.
Fall Athletic Banquet forms are available for pick up in the commons. Students should complete the forms and drop off money to the main office this week. We need an accurate count so we know how much food to order.
