Mrs. Nanney's and Mrs. Haney's 2nd period Math 1 and Foundations of Math 1 students were able to "Pi" an administrator of their choice to celebrate Pi Day 2018. Student names were put into a hat and drawn at random. Three students then "Pi"ed an administrator as the class and other staff members watched. The number of times a student's name was entered in the hat was based on the student's overall grade.: A-5 entries, B-4 entries, C-3 entries, D-2 entries, F-1 entry.
Zach Hughes "pi"ed Mr. Coloton
Sabrina Aliva "pi"ed Mrs. Feezor
Yaquelin Ramirez "pi"ed Mr. Hudson
Mrs. Feezor wanted to reward these students for their hard work in math and for making progress towards their math goals. Students are provided a hybrid approach to their instruction: receiving small group instruction, working in small groups on paper/pencil assignments, and completing problems with Prodigy and Edgenuity.
Pi Day was a great day for these students. We hope activities like this one continue to motivate these students to work hard and build their confidence in math.
Thank you Mrs. Feezor, Mr. Hudson, and Mr. Coloton!!!!
