Weekly Update

Here are the weekly updates for Central Davidson High School.
  • Select seniors have been notified if they are scheduled to take the WorkKeys test. This test will be held Tuesday morning at CDHS, and students can earn industry recognized certification for reaching certain achievements. We encourage everyone to take this seriously because this test can help your resume and help earn you a job after high school.
  • All students should receive progress reports from all teachers tomorrow. Should you have any question about your child's grade, do not hesitate to contact the teacher.
  • Seniors - Jostens will be at school during lunches Tuesday, December 5. If you are unable to place your senior order at this time, you can still do so online at jostens.com.  All students are required to have a cap and gown for graduation.
  • We have identified a bed bug that was found here at Central High today (Monday). Previously, you should have received a packet of letters from the health department and school that came home with your students. We are taking every precaution available here at the school and following protocols developed by the school system and the health department. If you have any questions about bed bugs, please feel free to call the health department or the cooperative extension office. For other questions, please contact the school office.
  • Our symphonic band invites everyone to their fall concert this Thursday at 7 pm. The concert will be held in the CDMS auditorium.
  • This is a reminder that any student interested in earning course credit through demonstrated mastery will have to submit their applications by this Friday, December 8. Credit by demonstrated mastery is a program in which students can prove they already have mastered course content and receive a PASS for the course without having to sit through the entire course. Applications can be picked up in our main office.
