Principal's Message

Good evening, Spartans.

This message is to make you aware of an opportunity for students who were unable to demonstrate proficiency on state end-of-course exams in the fall to retake the assessment. Any student who took the English 2, Math 1, or Math 3 exam this fall and was not able to score a proficient level of 3, 4, or 5 can participate in a readministration the week of June 9. Students will not be penalized for the second attempt. However, if they are able to obtain a higher score than the original administration, the higher score will be entered as the exam grade, which is 20% of the course grade. This opportunity could help some students pass the course, qualify for credit recovery, or increase their letter grade in the course. To participate, the student must submit written permission from a parent and attend a remediation session prior to the administration. We encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity. See your English 2, Math 1, or Math 3 teacher to pick up a permission form. You may also stop by the front office for a copy of the form.

Thank you for all that you do to support our students and school.
