This is Mr. Coloton with an update from CDHS.
The State Board of Education is required by general statute to plan for and requires the administration of the ACT to all public high school students who are enrolled in the 11th grade for the first time. Our students at CDHS will take the statewide ACT free of charge (a $55.00 value) using the online format. The test will be given Tuesday February 23rd for our A day students, Wednesday February 24th for our Remote Students, and Thursday February 25th for our B day students. Students who switch to remote learning after February 9th will test on their original test date. On test day, please arrive at school by 8:15am with a fully charged Chromebook and charger. If you do not have a school issued Chromebook, it will be provided for you. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Sarah Horne, Assistant Principal at 336 - 357 - 2920.
Jostens is taking orders for class rings and jewelry and all Sophomore students should have received information through the mail. Typically Jostens would be on campus to help students order class rings, but they will not be able to make it to campus this year. Also, this month Jostens is running a Valentine Sale where students can get up to $50.00 off on class jewelry. Use offer code FEBRUARY 50 when ordering. Please visit jostens.com today.
Football season begins next Monday February 8th. Any student athlete interested in playing football should have all their paperwork completed before beginning practice.
