On Monday, March 30, students who need to pick up and drop off paper copies of their work may do so at CDHS from 8 am to 4 pm according to the following schedule:
- Freshmen: 8-9 and 12-1
- Sophomores: 9-10 and 1-2
- Juniors: 10-11 and 2-3
- Seniors: 11-12 and 3-4
Here is the process.
Drop-off will be in the front circle. Students/parents will be approached by a staff member, who will collect and place student work in designated plastic storage containers. We will observe careful social distancing for this. Students, please make sure your name (first & last) as well as your teacher's name is on any work you turn in!
Pickup will be in the back parking lot. Once work is dropped off, students/parents will be instructed to drive out back and pick up new material. This material will be prepared based on communication from staff working in the drop-off area, so it's important that students and parents follow this flow by driving through the front circle first.
For parents/students who cannot make these times, please contact the school. Work packets may be available on bus routes with meal delivery Tuesday, March 31. If students receive their new work through this method, they should submit their completed work at the same time.
Please note that for students who have digital access and are completing work that way, in person drop-off/pickup is not necessary unless your teacher has indicated otherwise.
Also remember that teachers are available to assist students via email or by calling the school.
Library Books: Students may hold onto currently checked out books until we return to school. If any student is interested in checking out new books, contact Ms. Steed and she can gather them for pick-up or bus delivery. Just a reminder that students also have access to the North Carolina Digital Library through the Libby app. Parents and students, feel free to email Ms. Steed at email@example.com if you need assistance with this or other technical matters.
Thank you, students and parents, for working with us through this challenging time. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns by calling the front office.
Thanks also to Mr. Sam Maphis, who used to drive a bus for us and now is a pastor, for purchasing the bins for student work.
