Purpose ~ Effective teaching takes place in my classroom when I have employed 21st century learning. My philosophy and rational behind teaching Civics is to expose students to our social history and the American experience.  By having honest conversations about government, economics, labor, and participation.  A variety of methods are used to effectively communicate the standards for student achievement. All materials for the class can be accessed through Canvas. Parents are able to follow their students progress through Parent Portal by creating an account.
