ACT & SAT Testing

College Entrance Testing

All juniors interested in attending a 4 year college or university should plan to take two administrations of a college admissions test in their junior year.  Plan to take these exams during or after you take Math 3.

Seniors should take either the ACT or SAT no later than December to be considered for most college admission decisions.  Some colleges will consider later tests for wait listing decisions or other circumstances.  Seniors should contact the admissions office of their college of interest if a later test date is needed.

Click on ACT Test Dates or SAT Test Dates to select a date and register for testing.

Central Davidson's Testing Code for both tests is 342-263.

DON'T FORGET to add 4 colleges as score recipients while registering.  This step is easily overlooked and both organizations charge fees to send scores later.

PREPARE for these tests. Visit Collegeboard.com and ACTstudent.org to access various free preparation pages. You can also go to the College Planning section of the CDHS Media Center webpage to access additional resources. Look for the ACT and SAT links in the sidebar.
